Zarathustra was thought to be born in the second millennium BCE in ancient Iran. Known as a religious reformer, Zarathustra redefined religion, leading to the emergence of Zoroastrianism. Friedrich Nietzsche introduced him to the West in Thus Spake Zarathustra, but Osho offers a deeper perspective.

Osho sees Zarathustra as a revolutionary who reshaped the concept of God and religion. He rejects the word God for its outdated connotations, advocating instead for the superman – a fully awakened, mature, and conscious individual.
